Lawns Gone Wild: Inaugural Fruit Tree Planting

  • Cumberland Community Orchard Stiles Way Cumberland, ME, 04021 United States (map)

May 5, 2024 | 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Location: Cumberland Community Orchard

Join Aaron Parker of Edgewood Nurseries to help plant our first round of fruit trees in the Cumberland Community Orchard. Aaron will give tutorials on how to properly plant a fruit tree as we aim to get all 50 apple, pear, plum, cherry, peach, mulberry, quince, and chestnut trees into the ground! We’ll have some tools on hand, but bring along a shovel if you’ve got one and be prepared to get your hands dirty. We’ll be planting rain or shine.

The Lawns Gone Wild educational series is offered in partnership with the Prince Memorial Library and the Town of Cumberland’s Sustainability and Orchard Committees.
