Join us at Bradbury Mountain and explore the natural wonders of this scenic state park on a volunteer-led, guided nature walk.

Location: Bradbury Mountain State Park, Pownal, ME

Directions: 528 Hallowell Road, Pownal; on Route 9 about halfway between Portland and Lewiston-Auburn and a short drive west of Freeport.

Bradbury Mountain State Park in Pownal is five miles from the Freeport-Durham Exit 22 off U.S. I-295. From Exit 22 head west and make a left onto Durham Road. Follow this road (It will become Pownal Rd., then Elmwood Rd.) to the blinking light at the intersection of Route 9 and Elmwood Road. Turn right onto Route 9. The park entrance is a few minutes drive; on the left of Route 9.

Get Out! Nature Walks

These Get Out! Nature Walks are led by trained master naturalists and skilled volunteers. They occur on the fourth Wednesday of the month (unless indicated otherwise), rain, snow, or shine. Jointly offered by both CCLT and the Royal River Conservation Trust, the walks take place at preserves in the towns of Chebeague Island, Cumberland, Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, Pownal, New Gloucester, Durham, and anywhere else we decide to roam.
