The Chebeague and Cumberland Land Trust was created by passionate community members and it endures thanks to the efforts of dedicated volunteers. We are always looking for new energy and ideas to help strengthen conservation and stewardship in our communities. If you have some time and energy to spare, or skills that you think might be useful to the land trust, please consider volunteering for CCLT! See below for some examples of ways in which volunteers can a difference.
It’s easy to sign-up to be a CCLT volunteer! If you’re interested in volunteering, please sign-up to volunteer and tell us about your interests so we can learn more and find the right fit for you.
We will contact you if we have a volunteer opportunity available that matches your interests. Thank you offering to help CCLT and make a difference in your community!
Become a Property Steward
Join the dozens of volunteers who help monitor and maintain CCLT’s conserved lands every year. If there is a property near to your home or dear to your heart, let us know!
Participate in a Work Day
CCLT occasionally gathers groups of volunteers for trail building and maintenance, debris clean up, invasive species removal and other stewardship tasks. Workdays are scheduled as needed and volunteers are notified about workday opportunities.
Join a Committee
or the board
Committee work is a great way to contribute your special skills and interests to the work of the land trust. CCLT has several committees focused on a range of topics including, stewardship, membership, event planning, marketing and fundraising. If you’d like to explore committee or board opportunities, or volunteer your skills for a special project, we’d love to hear from you!
