The Chebeague and Cumberland Land Trust was created by passionate community members and it endures thanks to the efforts of dedicated volunteers.  We are always looking for new energy and ideas to help strengthen conservation and stewardship in our communities.  If you have some time and energy to spare, or skills that you think might be useful to the land trust, please consider volunteering for CCLT!  See below for some examples of ways in which volunteers can a difference.

Contact us at info@ccltmaine.org to learn more about these or other opportunities to get involved.

Become a Property Steward

Join the dozens of volunteers who help monitor and maintain CCLT’s conserved lands every year.  Please contact us to discuss our stewardship teams or a property near to your home or dear to your heart.

Participate in a Work Day

CCLT occasionally gathers groups of volunteers for trail building and maintenance, debris clean up, invasive species removal and other stewardship tasks.  Workdays are scheduled as needed and are posted in our e-newsletter, social media and on the Events page of our website.  Please email us if you’d like to be added to a list of volunteers to be notified about future workdays.

Join a Committee
or the board

Committee work is a great way to contribute your special skills and interests to the work of the land trust.  CCLT has several committees focused on a range of topics including land acquisition, stewardship, membership, marketing and fundraising.  If you’d like to explore committee or board opportunities, we’d love to hear from you!
