Join us on Wednesday, July 18 at 9:00am at Bennett's Cove on Chebeague Island for a free Tidepooling Event! This event is jointly hosted by the Chebeague and Cumberland Land Trust (CCLT) and Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) as part of the Get Out! Nature Walk series.
Event Leaders: Karen Herold and Caitlin Gerber
Directions: For those coming from the mainland, park at the Chebeague Island Transportation satellite lot on Route 1 and take the 7:45 a.m. bus to the ferry to Chebeague Island. Once you are on the island, transportation will be provided to Bennett's Cove. After the event you will be returned to the Chebeague ferry dock in time for the noon ferry (or you can stay for lunch at the Chebeague Island Inn, or a picnic by the ocean, and catch a later ferry!).
RSVP: The event is free, but an RSVP is required so we know how many people to expect.
These Get Out! Nature Walks are led by trained master naturalists and skilled volunteers. They occur on the fourth Wednesday of the month (unless indicated otherwise), rain, snow, or shine. Jointly offered by CCLT the Royal River Conservation Trust, and on this special occasion, Maine Coast Heritage Trust. The walks take place at preserves in the towns of Chebeague Island, Cumberland, Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, Pownal, New Gloucester, Durham, and anywhere else we decide to roam. Check out the CCLT Facebook page or RRCT Facebook page or Email Us with questions.
*Photography and Filming Note: Your attendance at CCLT events may be photographed or filmed and your registration indicates consent to have any images or footage featuring you at the event to be used for CCLT-related materials and outreach.
