Get Out! Nature Walk - Farwell Forest, Cumberland

  • Farwell Forest 145 Blanchard Road Cumberland, ME, 04021 United States (map)

Join us on Wednesday, August 22 at 1:30pm for a Get Out! Nature Walk - a volunteer-led, guided adventure at CCLT's 45-acre Farwell Forest in Cumberland, ME.  If you've never been to the Farwell Forest, this is your chance to enjoy a guided trip! We'll walk on a loop trail through this beautiful forest. We love dogs, but please don't bring them to this walk as we hope to see wildlife.

Curriculum: Natural communities

Volunteer Leader: Karen Massey

Directions/Parking: Park on the side of Blanchard Road by the southeastern edge of the field adjacent to 145 Blanchard Road, which is about 3/10 mile southeast of the intersection with Bruce Hill.

These Get Out! Nature Walks are led by trained master naturalists and skilled volunteers. They occur on the fourth Wednesday of the month (unless indicated otherwise), rain, snow, or shine. Jointly offered by both CCLT and the Royal River Conservation Trust, the walks take place at preserves in the towns of Chebeague Island, Cumberland, Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, Pownal, New Gloucester, Durham, and anywhere else we decide to roam. Check out the RRCT Facebook or CCLT Facebook page or Email Us for specifics and updates.
